EASA Workshop on commercial air transport regulation in Poland

The President of the Civil Aviation Authority together with European Aviation Safety Agency and Łazarski University is organizing on the 15th and 16th May 2014 a workshop on the Commission Regulation No 965/2012 concerning commercial air transport both with airplanes and helicopters (CAT – Part-ORO, CAT & SPA) and including new Flight Time Limitation rules (Regulation 83/2014). The Workshop is intended for representatives from Middle and South-East European National Aviation Authorities and industry. The workshop shall be conducted in English by EASA specialists. The start is scheduled on May 15 at 13:00 LT at Łazarski University, Świeradowska 43 str, Warsaw, Poland. Persons/operators who are interested in taking part in the workshop are requested to send a declaration of participation to . Participation in the workshop is free of charge.

The aim of the workshop is to respond to questions and queries related to the implementation of the Regulation and not to indulge in explaining CAT operations themselves.

Since the national industry and subjects of concern are best known to the interested parties, the Polish CAA kindly asks all participants to submit topics/questions reagarding issues of concern not later than 4 weeks prior to the start of the Workshop. This will allow rulemaking specialist from EASA to prepare presentations addressing all requested areas. We consider it would also be helpful if the CAA and/or operators would deliver short presentations showing how they deal with the transition, either discussing general topics or specific subjects (e.g. management system).

We anticipate that the Workshop will be of an interactive character, rather than just answers and explanations delivered by EASA specialists.

Those interested in delivering a presentation, please contact the Director of Flight Operations Department CAA of Poland – Mr Albert Ortyl (phone. +48 22 520 72 73).
