On 2 June 2014, a meeting of the Directors General of Civil Aviation of the European Union (EU DGCA) was held in Brussels. The meeting was attended by the President of the Civil Aviation Authority Mr. Piotr Ołowski.
During the meeting the Directors General of Civil Aviation discussed a number of issues related to the security of civil aviation, relations with key partners, matters related to the synchronization between air regulations in the EU and increasing the EU's contribution in the process of the ICAO standards development.
Later in the meeting, the participants discussed the documents related to the Single European Sky (SES) including Functional Airspace Blocks (FABs). There were also raised the topics related to civil aviation security, labor law in civil aviation, issues of ownership and control of the EU airlines and environmental protection in aviation.
The participants of the meeting noted the report of the sub-group established by the EASA Management Board.
