Model Meeting of the ICAO Council – the Joint Project of CAA and ICAO for students

President of the Civil Aviation Authority announces that in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has prepared a special project for the future of aviation experts (Next Generation of Aviation Professionals). The project is open to students of higher education institutions of the Member States included in the ICAO Council. The project involves the participation of one person from each of the 36 countries participating in the work of the Council - including Poland.

The chosen student will take part in the special meeting of the Council of ICAO on 5 December 2014 under the supervision of the Permanent Representatives of Poland on the Council of ICAO Dr. Małgorzata Polkowska. The participants will have the unique opportunity to discuss the actions to be taken to more effectively promote the ideas of future experts in the field of aviation - at the local, regional and global levels. The Model Council meeting for the future experts is based on similar projects organized by the United Nations (UN), in which take part more than 400 universities from around the world every year.

The recruitment of the candidate has been opened. The selected candidate and the candidate's university will be informed by letter, telephone and e-mail of the selection.Elected representative should prepare a ICAO Working Paper. 3 of the 36 Working Papers submitted from all countries of the Council will be selected to be presented at the Model Meeting of the ICAO Council.
