On 24 October 2014 at the Royal Castle in Warsaw an international conference on air law: "International Air Law Conference - 85 Anniversary of the Warsaw Convention” will take place. The conference will be held on the 85th anniversary of the signing of the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Carriage by Air, the so-called Warsaw Convention. At the invitation of Piotr Ołowski - President of the Civil Aviation Authority, the conference will bring together experts and representatives of the aviation industry, aviation authorities from around the world. The conference will be opened by Mr Zbigniew Klepacki - Undersecretary in Ministry of Infrastructure and Development and Mr Piotr Ołowski - President of the CAA. During the conference will present their speech, among others Sebastian Mikosz – President of the LOT Polish Airlines and Michał Kaczmarzyk - President of the Polish Airports. The other speakers will be the prominent international experts and representatives of the aviation law, law firms and the European Commission.
The main topics of the conference will cover issues on liability of the air carriers, manufacturers, lessors of aircraft and aircraft parts in the Warsaw regime, as well as the responsibilities of air navigation service providers and airports. There will be also outlined the changes in the liability in aviation and aviation insurance market. The conference will be conducted entirely in English. Event is organized by the Civil Aviation Authority and the Polish Airports. The conference partners are PZU, Boeing and LOT Polish Airlines.
