EUROCONTROL summarized the air transport market in Poland in 2014

The European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation EUROCONTROL has prepared the infographic presenting the air transport market in Poland in 2014 and the forecast for 2015. According to the presented information in 2014 in Poland 701 500 flights took place, including 240 300 international arrivals and departures, 418 000 overflights and 43 200 domestic flights.

EUROCONTROL also presented the percentage share of different types of aviation in the Polish market. Traditional scheduled flights had 57% market share, low cost flights - 23%, business aviation - 6%, military - 1%, charter - 7%, cargo flights - 5% and other - 1%. The largest percentage of the number of flights were achieved by the Warsaw Chopin Airport, serving 42% of the flights in Poland, the second place went to John Paul II Krakow Airport with 12% share, ant the third place went to Gdańsk Airport with a 11% result.
