On 13 and 14 May 2015 at the headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority the meeting with the delegation of the Ukrainian aviation authority was held. It was the first visit of the Ukrainian CAA which aimed to grant the support from the Polish experts and exchange of experiences between specialists of the Civil Aviation Authorities of Poland and Ukraine. Ukrainian delegation was represented by Mr. Mykola Sukhopara - Head of Standartization Division, Mr. Andrii Maksymov - Head of Flight Coordination Centre and Mr. Iurii Naida - Expert of Flight Coordination Center.
The meeting was opened by President of the Civil Aviation Authority Mr. Piotr Ołowski, who wished visitors a productive work and ensured the readiness of the Civil Aviation Authority to initiate cooperation between Poland and Ukraine for the development of civil aviation safety. As part of the two-day meeting guests got acquainted with issues related to safety management and flight operations and solutions applied in Poland.
During the first day of the visit the Polish CAA organizational structure and legal basis of its activities was presented. CAA specialist familiarized the participants with the ECCAIRS system, risk analysis in the field of commercial aviation in SMS and rules of creating Emergency Response Plans and state safety program. On the second day the participants discussed on issues related to flight operations, an inspector manual, SAFA inspections, as well as regulations on unmanned aerial vehicles/remotely piloted aircraft systems.
During the summary of the visit, both sides confirmed the continuation of cooperation in the future.
