Visegrad Group meeting on civil aviation in Gdansk

From 28 to 29 May 2015 in Gdansk Poland hosted a meeting of the Visegrad Group (V4) responsible for civil aviation. The subject of discussion were the issues related to the legal regulations on remotely piloted aircraft systems, commercial air transport, the harmonization of regulations in General Aviation, as well as the exchange of experience in the supervision of air entities.

 

The meeting was attended by heads of aviation authorities from the Czech Republic, Republic of Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, as well as the experts from respective Member States.

The meeting ended with the signing of the Declaration on the Cooperation of the Visegrad Group. The declaration aims at strengthening cooperation including the development of connections between countries (so-called connectivity), creating a legal framework for unmanned aerial vehicles, to further improve aviation safety as well as working out a common position in international forums, so that the interests of the countries of the Central Europe would be even better represented.

On behalf of Poland the document was signed by Mr. Piotr Ołowski - President of the Civil Aviation Authority.
