On 17 November the Civil Aviation Authority celebrated its 13 anniversary. On this occasion we would like to convey our best wishes to our customers and all for which aviation has become a part of the professional career or a hobby, as well as the passengers using air transport. In the past 13 years we have witnessed the rapid development of aviation in Poland and  around the world. The management and staff of the CAA would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this development for the common work for the safety of civil aviation. We also would like to encourage all aviation community to maintain this active cooperation in the framework of future initiatives.

Employees of both units became employees of the CAA. From 2012, the position of President of the CAA is occupied by Mr Piotr Olowski. The tasks and responsibilities of the President of the Authority should be performed in accordance to the functions specified in the Aviation Law Act. The CAA functions as the aviation authority and the administration and supervision of aviation within the meaning of international law.
