On September 26, during the 38th Session of the ICAO Assembly in Montreal, the President of the Civil Aviation Authority - Mr. Piotr Ołowski was elected to serve as the First Vice-Chairman of the Technical Commission. During the three meetings of the Commission, the working papers will be presented by the Member States and aviation organizations. Working papers concern issues of aviation safety including: policy, standardization, monitoring and analysis and safety management system (SMS).
At the meeting of the Executive Committee, the Polish candidate for Permanent Representative to the ICAO Council - Dr. Małgorzata Polkowska presented the Polish position on environmental protection, which is one of the priorities of the Organization. She stressed the necessity to continue efforts undertaken by ICAO to implement regulations limiting acoustic nuisance around airports.
