At the Economic Commission Meeting during the 38th Session of ICAO Assembly, the President of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Piotr Ołowski presented document 63 on behalf of the European Union Member States and the other 16 Member States of ECAC. The document contained ICAO policy position on economic matters and actions for economic forum that the organization would take during next three years.
The President stressed the importance for the future of air transport the compromise reached during the 6th Aviation Transport Conference, which took place in Montreal in March this year. He also emphasized that the findings and conclusions of the conference will be the foundation for future work in the area of economic, undertaken through the ICAO forum. He also presented the European position on the key priorities that should be dealt with by the organization.
