Additional security measures for flights from the Republic of Poland to Russian Federation

Civil Aviation Authority announces that on February 6, 2014, the President of the Civil Aviation Authority Mr. Piotr Ołowski introduced additional security measures for the flights from Republic of Poland to airports situated on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Additional security measures are related to the start-up of Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi and will be in operation to their completion. In view of the above, and bearing in mind that additional procedures may extend the time of security control, it is recommended that passengers traveling to Russian Federation shall arrive at the airport in advance. Scheduled non-stop flights from the Republic of Poland to Russian Federation are provided from two Polish airports: Warsaw Chopin Airport and Krakow Airport.
