From 17 to 18 July 2014 at the special invitation of the President of the Civil Aviation Authority Mr Piotr Ołowski Mr Patrick Ky - Executive Director of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) visited Poland.
During his visit to Poland, Mr Patrick Ky met the Management of the Civil Aviation Authority. During the meeting the current issues related to the activities of the CAA and cooperation between the Authority and EASA were discussed. The issues concerned the security of civil aviation, flight crew licensing, air operations and aircraft certification. Mr Patrick Ky informed about the structural changes within the Agency and the ongoing reorganization aimed to improve its work.
Mr Ky also visited the Polish Medical Air Rescue, Polish Airports Enterprise and the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency.
It was the first visit of the EASA Executive Director in the Civil Aviation Authority in history. Mr. Patrick Ky stressed that direct contact with the national aviation authorities and the Agency is very important and that he will continue visiting other European Authorities.
