The agreement between CAA and the Institute of Aviation on cooperation in the field of civil aviation safety

On 8 April, the Civil Aviation Authority and the Institute of Aviation signed a cooperation agreement, which aims to develop and ensure a high level of civil aviation safety in Poland.

Cooperation between those two institutions will cover inter alia exchange of information, expertise and creating conditions for safe activities in aviation and minimize the economic burden of those activities. The agreement was signed by the President of the Civil Aviation Authority Mr Piotr Ołowski and Director of the Institute of Aviation, Witold Wiśniowski in the presence of the specialist from the CAA and the Institute. Under the agreement, the Institute of Aviation with its extensive experience as a research center, in cooperation with the CAA will propose the critical, essential for aviation safety indicators divided into general and commercial aviation in terms of the State Safety Programme. There will also be proposed the safety levels and risk assessment model for supervision of aviation organizations.

The agreement will expire at the end of 2015.
