President of the Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Piotr Ołowski presented the model of Flaris LAR 1 airplane constructed in Poland to ICAO Secretary General - Mr. Raymond Benjamin during the lunch organized by Poland at the ongoing session of the 38th ICAO Assembly. After the great interest of the guests and the positive reception of the aircraft, the President of CAA sent a letter to the ICAO Secretary General on the possibility of permanent presentation of the aircraft model at ICAO headquarters in order to promote the Polish aviation sector. Thus, the model aircraft would be re-presented by the Polish delegation at the opening of the first session of the new ICAO Council on 15 October.
Flaris LAR 1 is a new type of personal jet aircraft designed and built by a Polish company. Its cruising speed is 700 km/h. It has a range of 2500 km with two persons with lagguage on board and a maximum ceiling of 14000 m. Aircraft is designed to take off and land on grass airfields and can carry four passengers. Flaris LAR 1 Aircraft was first presented during the 50th International Paris Air Salon at Le Bourget airport in June this year.
