On May 17, 2024 the Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak met with the Acting President of the Civil Aviation Authority Julian Rotter and with the Vice-Presidents for Aviation Standards and for Aviation Infrastructure.
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on aviation transport and the functioning of the Authority.
“I appreciate the visit of the Minister as this is a clear message that issues related to civil aviation are visible and treated seriously. I appreciate also the constructive discussion on the vision of aviation in Poland. Such meetings are indispensable to exchange views and work on common solutions necessary to ensure that our activities are efficient and that they address the real needs. We are glad that we can cooperate and together shape the future of aviation in our country”, Julian Rotter, the Acting President, said.
During the meeting, special attention was drawn to the EU regulations on passengers’ rights whose purpose is to enhance them and to ensure a better protection for the passengers. One of the meeting’s topics was also the improvement of the Civil Aviation Authority’s functioning, inclusive of initiatives improving the operational and service effectiveness of the Authority.
“I am happy that such a meeting has taken place for the first time for many years. Today we are facing numerous challenges which we can see and to which we react. We definitely are for a dialogue and good cooperation”, the Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak said.
The Minister of Infrastructure stressed the importance of cooperation between the Ministry and the CAA in the context of a dynamically developing aviation market and the necessity to continuously improve the regulations and procedures in order to satisfy the constantly growing expectations of passengers and air carriers.
Julian Rotter, the Acting President, expressed his readiness to achieve common goals and ensured that the Civil Aviation Authority shall continue its works on improving standards for the Polish civil aviation.
