The competence of the Civil Aviation Safety Management Department as a leading unit includes:
- supervising, coordinating and conducting matters related to Civil Aviation Safety Management
- implementation of tasks related to the creation and updating of the State Safety Programme (SSP) actions that are in the CAA’s scope
- coordinating activities related to implementation and operation of SSP
- management of the CRD - aviation occurrences database
- promoting a mandatory and voluntary aviation reporting system
- Air Shows / Air Display supervision
- EASA standardization
- ICAO standardization
- management system compliance monitoring function (CMF)
