CERG Member States
The Central European Rotation Group (CERG) was established on November 3, 1992. It is one of the 4 rotation groups created within the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC). The members of each rotation group start in the elections to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), according to an order established within each group. In the elections, the candidates have support of the remaining members of a given group. The rotation basis within CERG is the Memorandum of Understanding of December 1, 2011 which establishes the cooperation rules.

CERG Member States Flags
Poland has been a CERG member since 2009. The remaining members of the group are: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
In 2013 Poland started in the ICAO Council elections. It has gained the support of 147 states due to which it became, for the first time in its history one of the 36 states (out of 191 ICAO member states) constituting the ICAO Council and managing the works of the organization.
On October 1, 2013 Poland also took over the leadership in CERG and held this position till the end of its tenure in the ICAO Council in 2016. In November 2016 Greece, whose representative has a seat in the ICAO Air Navigation Commission (ANC), replaced Poland as the leader of the group. Greece will both have the seat in ANC and be a CERG leader till 2019.
